I found this orange ribbon at Wal-mart for .99 cents and the corn stalks were free. I think I might need to add a few more to my group. But at least this year I can decorate for fall and it doesn't cost anything...We have 3 more pumpkins that are just about ready. They are even bigger than our first. I'll post a pic next time. Have a great week we are so excited we had a blue skied perfect temperature day today! It's been very rainy but I'm not complaining it could always be worse... ~Amy

Feeding the Geese and Ducks!
We had a great time at the park feeding the ducks and geese. It had been awhile since school started for us that we just went and had a lazy afternoon. We had a picnic lunch, fed the geese and ducks, and played in the playground. It was great! We have been so busy trying to keep up with our school schedule, Mario's college schedule to work on his Master's, and my little part time job schedule it was refreshing to just be spontaneous and have no schedule!!!
The kid's set the table!
I bought these zebra plates at Target for .98 cents a plate on clearance! We had our friends over to celebrate the arrival of their first baby last Friday and the kids were so proud of themselves because they set the table! They even put the pumpkin's out on the table. What an eye for detail! I was impressed...
My Pumpkin Family...
Ok, I have a small collection of these Gathered Traditions pumpkins by Joe Spencer; they just look very old and vintage. I have a pic of the legs and the feet I bought that he designed in another post. I have been collecting them for a few years now and my favorite is the Scarecrow! My best friend in Oklahoma bought him for my birthday last year. They are very whimsical and fun!

Here is our first pumpkin from our patch we grew!
The kids were so excited when we picked our very first pumpkin! I told Emma we were going to try and grow a Cinderella pumpkin and she is so excited that it really did grow! I have to say we have really enjoyed our garden this year. We created great memories with our kids and had a lot of fun as a family watching them grow. We have about 6 more pumpkins that should be ready soon! Have a good week everyone! ~Amy
Ok, I already bought my fall plants!!!
I really enjoy fall especially the pumpkins and mums. I bought the kale and red mums this past weekend. I just couldn't wait any longer! I put my fall wreath on our front door and as we were planting our mums the temp dropped from in the eighties to the low seventies within an hour and we are forecasted for cooler temps the rest of the week! I am so happy. My urns by the front door really took a beating this year in the hot sun. I usually have plants that grow toward the ground that cover the flaws but I wanted to do something different. So to save money Mario and I rubbed a walnut stain all over them to conceal all the scraps and chips and I think they turned out very nice!
